The President McKinley EU Multinorm CB Radio is a versatile AM/FM/SSB device designed for seamless operation across European and UK CB bands. In its standard configuration, the radio delivers 4 watts on FM/AM and 12 watts on Upper and Lower Sideband (SSB). It is configured to cover the CB frequencies of various European countries and features dual power support for 12V and 24V systems.

Additional Frequency Bands

  • Covers bands A through L, including Alpha channels, with an “Alpha” indicator displayed on the screen when in use.

UK Band Access

  • Expanded mode retains the 40 UK channels.
  • Switch to the UK band by pressing the F key for 3 seconds while on FM mode. Press the F key or toggle the mode switch to return to expanded operation.

Channel Selector as VFO

  • In Export Mode, the channel selector functions as a VFO (Variable Frequency Oscillator), allowing fine-tuned frequency selection.

Band Renaming

  • Rename bands for easier identification. For instance, rename Band A to “EU” or Band B to “HI.”

Enhanced Power Output

  • AM: Up to 12W
  • FM: Up to 25W
  • SSB: Up to 25W
  • Output power is adjustable through the menu, with a minimum power setting of:
    • 4W (AM)
    • 6W (FM)
    • 2W (SSB)

Expanded Tuning Steps

  • Selectable tuning steps include:
    • 0.01 kHz, 1 kHz, 10 kHz, 100 kHz, and 1 MHz.
  • Standard mode supports 10 kHz (single channel) and 100 kHz (ten channels).

Additional Features

  • Customizable Display: Choose from seven display colors. Adjust brightness and contrast for optimal viewing.
  • Digital SWR Meter: Provides a real-time, digital SWR reading.
    • Includes an audio calibration tone:
      • Continuous tone for an SWR of 1.0.
      • Beeping or pitch changes indicate higher SWR levels, alerting you to potential issues.
